This classic 1939 film will be presented in an innovative new way, using the latest technology to bring one of the greatest films of all time to a new generation of moviegoers. The Theatrical Experience follows Dorothy down the Yellow Brick Road with the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion as they journey through the Land of Oz. Relive all of the classic scenes from this beloved film and sing along to all of the classic songs including “Over the Rainbow,” “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” and “Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead” in spectacular audio using The Sphere’s cutting-edge technology.
The Wizard of Oz (1939) is one of the greatest films ever made and this screening is a tribute to it. The Wizard of Oz Film Experience brings this timeless classic to life in a whole new way with all the iconic scenes from the film including Dorothy’s journey to the magical Land of Oz with her new friends the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion on their treacherous journey down the Yellow Brick Road. There are also some thrilling and very shocking scenes with the Wicked Witch of the West and her demise. The movie features some great songs including ‘Over the Rainbow’ which won an Oscar for Best Original Song and was one of the songs the film was nominated with for a total of 6 Academy Awards, winning two. ‘Follow the Yellow Brick Road’ and ‘Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead’ are two of the songs from the film that will be performed live at The Sphere using the theater’s amazing audio systems.
