The Sphere Venue Information

The Sphere serves as a prominent music and entertainment arena situated east of the Las Vegas Strip. This venue integrates with The Venetian Resort through dedicated pedestrian walkways, facilitating convenient access for visitors. Designed by the architectural firm Populous, the structure was announced in 2018 and officially opened in September 2023 following a construction cost of approximately 2.3 billion dollars.

The Sphere stands as the world’s largest spherical building, measuring 366 feet in height and 516 feet in width, encompassing a total area of 875,000 square feet. The exterior features the Exosphere, composed of 1.2 million programmable LED pucks, which display dynamic visual content visible across the Las Vegas skyline. Internally, the arena boasts a 16K resolution wraparound LED screen that spans the entire interior, providing immersive visual experiences.

Audio capabilities include over 167,000 individually amplified speakers, enabling beamforming technology for precise sound delivery to specific audience sections. The venue also incorporates haptic seating, which vibrates in synchronization with performances to enhance sensory engagement.

The Sphere’s advanced technology positions it as a leader in entertainment innovation, blending architecture and digital media to create unparalleled attendee experiences.
