Enter The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere in Las Vegas on Thursday, June 18, 2026
This classic American movie has been transformed into an incredible multi-sensory adventure. Show goers will experience The Wizard of Oz as they have never experienced it before. In surround 16K they will be able to see all of the action from side to side and back to front as Dorothy travels down the Yellow Brick Road.
In addition to the huge images on the screen of The Sphere guests will also feel as if they are walking down the road with Dorothy as her traveling companions are conveyed to her through her tactile feedback. Also the scent of a field of poppies will fill the air as guests watch the scene unfold. Other environmental effects such as air effects (breezes), mist, etc. will also be part of the multi-sensory adventure.
Dorothy’s classic songs from The Wizard of Oz were written and performed by over 167,000 speakers in the classic and timeless songs such as ‘Over the Rainbow’, ‘We’re Off To See The Wizard’ and ‘If I Only Had A Brain’ and many more! The original soundtrack for this production has gone through a complete audio enhancement using AI.
The original film was made in 1939. It won two Academy Awards in 1940. Both were for the scoring and the song ‘Over the Rainbow’ which is rated as one of the most wonderful songs ever made in the history of the movies. ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was added to the National Film Registry in 1989.
