Escape to the magic of The Wizard of Oz this Fourth of July at Sphere. This cutting-edge, interactive production is a 75 minute spectacle that opens on Saturday, July 4, 2026 and takes place within 160,000 square feet of stunning, interactive visuals utilizing 16K resolution technology.
All shows will feature Dorothy’s amazing 75-minute journey down the yellow brick road through the adventures of the movie in 4D technology utilizing haptic technology, wind, fog, scents and fire. Highlights of the production will include such songs as “Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard”. The re-mastered movie will feature a newly re-recorded score performed by 167,000 speakers throughout the environment.
The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is $124 to start for these Fourth of July showtimes. Please show up at the venue 45 minutes prior to the start time of the show as late arrival is not permitted. After the 75 minute show, guests can enjoy the Emerald City Atrium with various interactive exhibits throughout the atrium.

The film follows Dorothy from the opening scenes of her arrival in Kansas through her travels down the Yellow Brick Road to the conclusion of her journey at the Emerald City.
Using the latest technology in 4D entertainment, the film is presented in AI enhanced 16K imagery displayed on the world’s largest screen – a 160,000 square foot wrap around screen. Every moment of the film is accompanied by 167,000 audio channels of a re-recorded soundtrack that brings the classic score and songs to life in a whole new way. The real time experience is further enhanced by haptics, wind, fog, fragrances and fire bursts making this a 4D film for all the ages. Suitable for children of 6 years of age and up.

The original 1939 classic starring Judy Garland as Dorothy is re-imagined in this legendary film’s re-imagining as a 4D experience. All of the classic songs such as “Over the Rainbow,” “We’re Off to See the Wizard,” “Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead,” and many more are re-recorded for this ground-breaking experience and presented to you in Sphere’s Audio.
The original 1939 film of The Wizard of Oz was itself no slouch winning six Academy Awards, including Best Original Song for “Over the Rainbow.” The classic 1939 film was later selected for preservation in the National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.”
The Spher is located at 255 Sands Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89169 and features the world’s largest LED screen, an incredible 160,000 square feet of 16K resolution imagery from nearly every angle. The sound system consists of an incredible 167,000 individually programmed speakers to provide flawless audio with precise location and a haptic-enabled seat that provides the haptic (touch) sensation to your seat during the movie.
The venue holds 18,600 fixed seats over three levels of seating in the main show room. The venue can hold up to 20,000 people when including the alternative seating on levels 2 & 6 as well as the Sensory Room venues that are specifically designed for guests with special needs. There are also many VIP / Premium Seats and privatelounges to enjoy with expedited entry and VIP Services, such as 206 & 307 for example, as well as themed food and beverages in the VIP lounge spaces.
Many concession stands that offer a variety of food and beverages, including specialty cocktails, wine and beer as well as more typical fare of pizza, burgers, hot dogs and candy. Note that this is a cashless venue however there are water refill stations throughout the building.
Parking for the event is available on site, but is very limited and must be pre-booked and charged at around the $45 mark and above, or use one of the Venetian, Palazzo or Wynn parking garages which are a 15-20 minute walk or a short 5 minute walk along the bridge from the resort to Sphere. Alternatively, there is Rideshare drop off located at the corner of Sands Ave and Koval Ln.
